    What does ‘Formulated for Rotational Feeding’ mean?

    Answer: To eliminate the potential for creating a food based protein allergy, it is highly recommended you rotate your pet’s food. Zoic products were created with a base formulation and the addition of critical proteins. This base formulation allows you to switch your pet’s food from one protein to another without transitioning, and your pet should have little or no challenges with the diet change. Our unique natural probiotics also support digestive health.

    What will happen if I do not want to rotate my dog’s diet?

    Answer: Probably nothing. Many pets have eaten the same diets for 10 years or more without developing a sensitivity to the protein. But, more variety in your pet’s diet more closely represents how they would eat naturally.

    Is your meat, poultry and fish free-range, wild caught, grass-fed, GMO-free, hormone & antibiotic free, etc.?

    Answer: Our meat, poultry and fish abides by all USDA guidelines established for meat, poultry and fish and is hormone and antibiotic free.

    We make every effort to source GMO-free ingredients and we do not source GMO fruits and vegetables. However, we cannot always guarantee that the feed consumed by the animal during their life was GMO free. As such, we also cannot guarantee that the animal’s parents ate a GMO free diet.

    Can I use your diets to treat my dog’s health issue?

    Answer: We always recommend consulting with your vet when trying to treat a specific health issue. Though we have several people using our diets to help alleviate a specific health condition, we formulate all our diets for healthy pets and per FDA & government regulations we cannot claim that our diets treat or alleviate specific medical or health conditions.

    Why are Zoic diets ideal for pets with food sensitivities and allergies?

    Answer: Our diets are great for pets with sensitivities because they are free of the most common canine allergies: Corn, Wheat, Soy, & Dairy. Our diets are nutritionally complete and feature quality meats, poultry and fish as the first, second and third ingredients, with no cheap fillers like high glycemic carbohydrates commonly found in other pet foods, even those claiming to be premium.

    Do you perform invasive animal testing in developing your products?

    Answer: No, we are committed to never testing on animals. We founded Wild Calling & Zoic on the basis of providing the best possible nutrition for your dog, including only the highest quality and responsibly sourced ingredients. Like you, we treat pets like family members. To refine our diets, we only feed our food to pets in a comfortable, stress-free environment.

    Does Zoic use by-products in their foods?

    Answer: No, we use only mechanically de-boned meat, poultry and fish and quality low ash meat, poultry or fish meals and our products do not include by-products.
    Do you have a diet so that my dog will not have gas?

    High levels of legumes typically cause gas. We specifically formulate our diets so that the maximum amount of legumes is less than 12%. You may have gas or soft stool challenges with diets containing more than 14% legumes.

    Do you have a puppy, senior adult, life stage or breed specific diets?

    Answer: We believe in all life stage diets. Our foods are formulated to be 100% complete & balanced for all life stages and all breeds, so you can feed our diets to any breed from puppy to senior adulthood.

    Answer: Yes, all Zoic diets are grain-free and gluten-free.

    How do I transition my dog from his or her current food to Zoic?

    Answer: To transition, gradually mix in Zoic over a 5-7 day period, increasing the amount of Zoic each day so that you are feeding only Zoic by day 7. When transitioning to a new food, it is important to pay attention to your pet’s stool. A healthy diet and good digestion will result in a stool that is formed but soft – not liquid or rock hard.

    Donations Notice

    Answer: Unfortunately, due to an overwhelming amount of requests for donations we have implemented a policy of not donating to specific organizations as to be fair to everyone who asks for our support. We wish we could help by a small donation but we are still a small company and we just don't yet have the resources to donate monetarily to each of the hundreds of groups who ask for our help. We apologize and hope we can help in the future should our policy change.
